1. Scope of Service
Carveo provides independent, general-nature guidance to help clients make more informed decisions when purchasing used or new vehicles. The service strictly includes:
Recommending vehicles that may suit the preferences and requirements supplied by the client.
Reviewing and providing general feedback on vehicles identified by the client, based on publicly available information.
Offering high-level insights on pricing, market trends, demand levels, brand reputation, and model characteristics.
Providing general value-for-money commentary only.
Carveo Does NOT Provide:
Carveo does not:
Buy, sell, source, negotiate, broker, or transact vehicles.
Provide financial, legal, mechanical, technical, engineering, or professional automotive advice.
Perform inspections, diagnostics, roadworthiness checks, or mechanical assessments.
Provide or verify PPSR details, title status, finance encumbrance, odometer accuracy, accident history, or service records.
Guarantee availability, condition, performance, or future market value of any vehicle.
This applies equally to new-car and used-car advisory services.
2. Nature of Advice — General Information Only
All guidance provided by Carveo is:
General in nature,
Based on publicly available information,
Not tailored to the client's financial situation or risk profile,
Not legal, financial, mechanical, or technical advice.
Clients must not rely solely on Carveo’s advice when making a purchase decision.
3. No Guarantee or Warranty
Carveo provides advisory input in good faith but makes no warranty or guarantee, expressed or implied, regarding:
Future resale value, depreciation, reliability, or suitability of any vehicle,
Accuracy of information provided by sellers, manufacturers, online listings, or third parties,
Vehicle condition (for used cars) or build quality, delivery timelines, dealer pricing, or warranty outcomes (for new cars),
Any market changes occurring after the date of advice.
4. Client Responsibilities
Clients remain fully responsible for their purchase decisions. Clients must:
Arrange their own mechanical inspection (for used vehicles) by a qualified mechanic.
Conduct all required legal and compliance checks (PPSR, encumbrance, registration, safety compliance).
Verify all information provided by sellers, dealers, or third-party sources.
Assess personal financial, legal, and risk implications before purchasing a vehicle.
Failure to complete these checks is at the client's own risk.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Australian law, Carveo and its operators are not liable for:
Any financial loss or damage arising from the purchase or non-purchase of any vehicle,
Mechanical faults, hidden defects, misrepresentations, or inaccuracies in seller-provided or third-party information,
Market price movements, availability changes, or vehicle condition changes,
Any incidental, consequential, or indirect loss.
Where liability cannot legally be excluded, it is strictly limited to the total advisory fees paid by the client.
6. Payment & Service Terms
Fees are payable as agreed before or on the Invoice due date. See our Results-Based Payment Policy.
All advice is based on information available at the time of consultation.
Written or verbal feedback is for the client’s personal use only and may not be reproduced without permission.
7. No Agency Relationship
Carveo does not act as an agent, broker, representative, or intermediary.
The client is responsible for all communication and dealings with sellers, dealers, and third parties.
8. Intellectual Property
All reports, recommendations, messages, and written material provided by Carveo remain its intellectual property.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
You agree that any dispute, claim, or legal matter arising from or relating to the services of Carveo shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Sydney, New South Wales, and you submit to the jurisdiction of those courts irrespective of your state or territory of residence.
Result-Based Payment Policy
1. Purpose of This Policy
This policy explains how Carveo’s service-first, result-based payment model works. It is designed to provide transparency around when fees apply, what constitutes satisfaction or results, and how payments are handled.
2. Service-First, Pay-Later Model
Carveo provides certain car advisory services upfront, with no upfront fees. Fees are payable only if the client is satisfied with the service delivered, subject to the terms outlined in this policy.
3. What Services Are Covered
This result-based payment model applies to personalised advisory services, including but not limited to:
Car buying advice and consultations
Vehicle selection and evaluation
Pricing guidance and negotiation support
Excluded:
This model does not apply to self-guided products such as:
DIY books
Guides
Digital downloads
Educational materials
These products are one-time purchases and are payable upfront.
4. What “Satisfied” Means
“Satisfaction” refers to the client confirming that:
The agreed advisory service was delivered
The advice provided reasonable value based on the scope agreed
The service was delivered with due care and skill
Satisfaction does not require:
A specific financial outcome
Guaranteed savings
A completed vehicle purchase
5. When Fees Become Payable
Fees become payable when:
The agreed service has been delivered, and
The client confirms satisfaction, or
The client proceeds to act on the advice provided (e.g. using recommendations, negotiation guidance, or reports), or
No concerns are raised within 7 days of service completion
6. When Fees May Not Be Payable
Fees may be reduced or waived where:
The service was not delivered as agreed
The service did not meet reasonable professional standards
A valid concern is raised within 7 days of service delivery
Each case is assessed fairly and individually.
7. Exclusions & External Factors
Carveo is not responsible for outcomes affected by factors outside our control, including:
Pricing changes
Vehicle availability
Market fluctuations
Decisions made contrary to our advice
Incomplete or incorrect information provided by the client
These factors do not automatically invalidate the service delivered.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a service is not provided with due care and skill, or is not fit for purpose, you may be entitled to remedies under ACL.
9. Payment Method & Timing
Once payment is due:
Payment must be made using the agreed payment method
Invoices are payable within 10 days
Late payments may be subject to follow-up in line with standard business practices
